Volunteer
Volunteers are the foundation of our work and the reason we can continue serving neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty. Their time, compassion, and dedication transform hardship into hope every single day.
Ways to Get Involved
While our dedicated team works tirelessly to meet each client’s needs, the demand continues to grow. There is always room, and real need, for more helping hands. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to give back, we invite you to join us and become part of this life-changing work.
Saturday Distributing
At the center of our mission is our Resource Center – a vital hub where individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty receive critical support. Keeping it staffed and supplied is essential to meeting the growing needs of our community. Saturdays are our busiest and most critical service days. Additional helping hands make all the difference.

Greet Community Members
Among our most meaningful volunteer opportunities is welcoming clients and helping them access the items they need. This role shapes a person’s entire experience – transforming a simple visit into one marked by kindness and respect.

Staff Service Desk
Volunteers also help manage and distribute our most in-demand and higher-cost items, including sturdy footwear, durable clothing, and survival gear like tents and sleeping bags. This responsibility requires care and attentiveness, as these resources are often essential to a person’s well-being and security.

Sort and Stock Goods
Behind the scenes, volunteers play a vital role by sorting clothing and donated goods. This work ensures every item is clean, organized, and ready to use by community members in need. By helping prepare these essential resources, you become part of the moment when a neighbor receives not just clothing, but care and respect.
Other Opportunities

Staff the Resource Center
At the center of our mission is our Resource Center – a vital hub where individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty receive critical support. Keeping it staffed and supplied is essential to meeting the growing needs of our community.
We need volunteers every Saturday rain, snow, or shine from 10:00am-1:00pm.

Sort and Stock Goods
Most Tuesdays, a small group of volunteers meet at our Resource Center to sort through donated goods and organize the stock room. This help is needed most when we have an overflow of donations or need to reorganize existing goods.
Sorting happens most Tuesdays from 10:30am-12:00pm at our Resource Center.
Pick Up Goods
While most donations are dropped off at our Resource Center, we know that some donors need flexibility, which is why we offer convenient pick-up services. Helping organize and complete these pick-ups is a significant need to ensure vital resources reach our shelves and ultimately, our community members who depend on them.

Help Fundraise
A devoted volunteer currently oversees our fundraising events, organizing two to three gatherings each year that are vital to sustaining our work. These events depend on additional volunteers to help execute every detail, from logistics to guest engagement. While these efforts are invaluable, we need help to identify and pursue other fundraising opportunities.
