Update in response to COVID-19

The emergence of the coronavirus and COVID-19 has rapidly and unexpectedly brought significant risks for our community and throughout the world. For an organization like S.T.A.R., like many non-profits in this sector, the face-to-face interaction with our clients is vital to our mission. However, with the risk that poses to both our clients and volunteers, our Resource Center will be closed until the risk of COVID-19 has passed.

With this, we are also unable to collect donations as we traditionally do. We understand that donations were a way for many to contribute to our mission and help those less fortunate, and we deeply regret we are not able to channel those resources to those who need them.

Our service community is a strong one, however, and through many non-profits have come together to pool their resources, channel their strengths, and coordinate to provide safe and effective services to those that need them most.

For those that still wish to volunteer or donate, I would recommend these organizations:

United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley

1110 American Parkway northeast

Suite F-120

Allentown, PA 18109

610-758-8010

New Bethany Ministries

333 West 4th St.

Bethlehem, PA 18015

610-691-5602

We are greatly appreciative of the support we receive from our community and members. We are confident that we will pass through this stronger and more resilient, and look forward to the opportunity when we may open our doors again. We will get through this together, even if we may be apart while doing so.
